[Mdl] MDL announcement: Try the "Social Side of Reflections"

Dear Minnesota Digital Library listserv  members:

The Minnesota Digital Library invites you to be the first to use the ³Social
Side of Reflections.²

We are testing this week our project to provide the public with a way to
give input on the objects in Minnesota Reflections, our database of digital
copies of primary resources from across the state. Eric Celeste, a former
member of the MDL steering committee and UofM associate library director,
who is now a consultant to the library community, designed the wiki site
that allows us to provide this resource. He worked with an MDL advisory
group and the staff at MINITEX to create this prototype.

€ Please visit Minnesota Reflections ( http://reflections.mndigital.org/ )
and work with this new comments option.

€ When you look at an individual object, document or map you will see a new
button in the blue menu bar above the image. The button is red with yellow
type.

€ Click on that button and you will go to a wiki page. From there, comment
as you like on that particular object.

Members of the advisory group on the project will be monitoring comments for
volume and content to help us determine how we need to move forward.

If you have general comments, suggestions or insights to offer regarding the
Social Side of Reflections, please send them to me and I will forward them
to the advisory group.
