[Mdl] MDL project needs your help

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year!

We need your help now, please.

The Minnesota Digital Library is working on a training project with Sandbox
Studios to offer training in Pachyderm, a multi-media authoring tool, using
the Minnesota Reflections database. We are looking for two or three K-12 or
community college teachers who would be interested in learning and have the
time. 

They would learn: the scope of the resources available in Minnesota
Reflections, the capabilities of the Pachyderm authoring program, basics of
digital storytelling, to develop a multimedia program using Pachyderm, and
they would develo their own multimedia project on a topic of their choosing.

Sandbox created two learning tools for us last year using Pachyderm. One is
content based ­ A Foot in Two Worlds (
http://www.mndigital.org/ed%5Fassets/footintwoworlds/ ). One teaches
students how to work with historic photos ­ History Mysteries (
http://www.mndigital.org/ed%5Fassets/historymysteries/  ).

Some of the training will be in two or three face-to-face workshop sessions
offered in March in the Twin Cities. The rest of the training will take
place through online means.

We do have funds to help pay for substitute teachers and transportation for
people who live within 90 miles of the Twin Cities
