MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be a citizen of the United States for not less
than two years.
2. Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument Rating.
3. Current FAA Class II medical certificate.
4. CFII instrument instructor rating.
5. 750 flight hours.*
6. Two years flight experience.
7. Completion of an undergraduate degree.
8. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication
skills.
9. Vision correctable to 20/30 or better each eye, with
no significant loss of peripheral vision or depth perception.
10. Must possess an unrestricted driver's license except
for corrective lenses.
11. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the
position.
12. Must be willing to perform work involving personal
hazards, requiring irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and
holidays.
13. Must demonstrate judgment and common sense. Be willing
to discipline yourself to the job demands.
14. Must not have been convicted of a criminal offense,
which would tend to harm the integrity of the Patrol.
15. Applicants must demonstrate an appropriate background
that would not call into question their ability to fulfill the functions
of a pilot for a law enforcement agency. **
16. Applicants must demonstrate an appropriate driving
record.
17. Must successfully complete appropriate psychological
testing as determined by the agency.
18. Current First Responder certification or eligible to
complete certification within six months of employment date.
19. Knowledge of personal computer to prepare required
documents, logs, activity reports and other documents required to ensure
all regulations are complied with and proper forms submitted.
