Hi All,

Next week the SCSU Student Legal Services Program, in cooperation with the Stearns/Benton Bar Association, will be offering an important seminar for renters entitled "Renting:  How To Get Your Money Back."  As you know, this is the time of year when many of our students are moving out of their apartments.  Unfortunately, they often run into problems with landlords who try to impose illegal cleaning or damage fees or who seek to retain security deposits for illegitimate reasons.  Anyone who is about to leave a rental property or who has recently entered into a rental agreement should attend this seminar!  It's free and open to all.  Please publicize this event widely so that our students know to attend-when it comes to renting, knowledge is power!

What:  Renting: How To Get Your Money Back.  Presented by Amy J. Chantry, Esq., Student Legal Services Program Attorney

When:  Tuesday, April 29, 2008.  Two Sessions: 11:00-12:00 p.m. and 2:00-3:00 p.m.
