AIRPORT INTERNSHIP





            The Owatonna Degner Regional Airport is seeking a college level intern for the summer months of this year.  The airport is a Minnesota "key system airport" with a 5500' x 100' concrete runway with ILS and is positioned for growth.  The intern will have a variety of responsibilities and assist the Airport Manager in the administration and operation of the airport.  Tasks will include the daily and routine inspections of the airport facility, responsibility of the preventive maintenance program, project oversight, and the negotiation of airport lease agreements.  The successful intern will also have the opportunity to work with several different agencies including the MnDOT Office of Aeronautics, FAA, airport tenants, Airport Commission, and Fixed Base Operator's (FBO) personnel.  In addition, the intern will assist in the review of airport policies and standards and will be involved with the promotion and marketing of the facility and services of the airport.  The intern will be expected to work approximately forty hours per week and earn $7.00 per hour.
