AVIATION SUMMER COURSES

 

If you have not noticed the Aviation Department is offering several
courses this summer. Please check out the offerings and see if anything
meets your needs and fits your schedule:

 

Flight Courses

 

All the flight courses are once again being offered this summer. I
highly encourage students to take summer flight courses. The summer
schedule allows us to offer the flight courses to meet at 10am instead
of the usual 8am and with the two hour time frame each flight class
meets fewer times. This means you can probably coordinate taking your
next flight course even if you are not living in St. Cloud for the
summer. For example, the instrument flight course meets four times in
the classroom in the summer instead of the usual 7-8 times (check the
summer course listing for the exact dates of the different flight
courses).

 

Summer is also a great time to get a lot of flight training done. The
days are long and the airplane and instructors are more available. Once
again, even if you are not living in St. Cloud in the summer you can
probably figure out good ways to come here and flight train. For
example, if you are in the twin cities area this summer just work out a
schedule with your flight instructor where you come to St. Cloud in the
morning one day take two or three lessons, stay overnight and visit some
friends and fly some more the next day. 

 

AVIT 107 - Women In Aviation

 

If you or anyone you know needs a good general education diversity
course AVIT 107 is being taught online this summer. All you need to do
is meet on campus on May 21st and you take the rest of the course
online.

 

AVIT 496 - Current State of the Aviation Industry

 

Last summers well received course is being offered again this summer and
makes an excellent elective in several aviation programs.

 

Internships

 

Summer is a great time to try to take advantage of valuable internship
opportunities. Contact Ms. Harl for specifics.

 

Other Online Courses

 

Also check out other online offerings in the department to see if they
meet your needs.
