OWATONNA DEGNER AIRPORT INTERNSHIP-Summer 2007

 

 

            The Owatonna Degner Regional Airport is seeking a college
level intern for the summer months of this year.  The airport is a
Minnesota "key system airport" with a 5500' x 100' concrete runway with
ILS and is positioned for growth. 

 The intern will have a variety of responsibilities and assist the
Airport Manager in the administration and operation of the airport.
Tasks will include:

*        The daily and routine inspections of the airport facility

*        Responsibility of the preventive maintenance program

*        Project oversight, and the negotiation of airport lease
agreements.

*        Work with several different agencies including the MnDOT Office
of Aeronautics, FAA, airport tenants, Airport Commission, and Fixed Base
Operator's (FBO) personnel.  

*        Assist in the review of airport policies and standards

*        Be involved with the promotion and marketing of the facility
and services of the airport.  

*        Work be approximately forty hours per week earning $6.00 per
hour.

 

The Owatonna Airport is conveniently located 50 miles south of the twin
cities metropolitan area on Interstate 35.
