PILOT SHORTAGES IN THE NEXT DECADE

*	Estimates show that of the 56,000 pilots now employed by the
airlines 40% are 50+ years old
*	By the year 2017 there will be a shortfall of 30,000 pilots
needed by the airlines
*	Scheduled world passenger traffic 2005- 2Billion by 2015 it will
be 2.8 Billion
*	World airline aircraft fleet expected to double in the next 20
years.
*	India and China, alone, will need 140,000 pilots in the period
between 2002-2012
*	Industry  actively seeking ways to attract pilots to the
industry at a time when the profession is no longer seen as glamorous or
secure
*	Many of the same issues of candidate pools are also being faced
