The Cheyenne Regional Airport and the Wyoming Department of
Transportation Aeronautics Division(WYDOT) are accepting applications
for a one year joint professional Aviation Internship. During the course
of the internship, the accepted applicant will, spend six months working
with the WYDOT Aeronautics Division and six months with Airport
Administration. The position is open to candidates currently enrolled or
recently graduated from Aviation/Airport Management programs, or
comparable areas of study, at the college/university level. This
position requires the following:
-Computer Literacy QY, preferably with Windows2000/XP and Microsoft
software
-Strong written an~ oral communication skills
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid drivers license (Periodic in-state travel is. required)
-Ability to pass a TSA Criminal History Records Check
The Intern's tasks will be varied providing exposure to Airport
Administration and Finance, Operations, Airfield Maintenance, Public
Relations, Airport Planning, Airport Construction and a wide variety of
other duties and responsibilities as assigned. If requested by the
student, both WYDOT and the Airport will work to fulfill applicable
requirements for co-op credit from the student's college or university.
The Internship is a full-time, paid position at $8.00 per hour. Benefits
are not included. The starting and ending dates. are flexible depending
on the individual's college/university schedule. Airport Administration
will provide housing, if desired.
Interested candidates are required to submit the following:
1) A cover letter briefly describing his/her
qualifications and background,
2) An updated Rresume,
3) A college/university transcript detailing course work
completed and/or progress.

All materials must be received by December 1, 2006. Late applications
will not be accepted. It is anticipated that the internships will be
reviewed within 1 week following the closing date to arrange for
interviews, if necessary. Selection of the successful candidate shall be
made by December 15t'\ 2006. The internship shall commence on or about
January 15t, 2007.
