As we approach the end of the semester I hope everyone is doing okay and
wanted to relay a few things.

The new C-172SP with Garmin G1000 glass is not really flying as much as
hoped. Please get out and fly this aircraft it is great learning
experience that everyone should take advantage of and it will look great
on your resume. Remember we need to fly this airplane in order to afford
to keep it. If you are in your instrument training you should take your
instrument long cross country in this airplane as that is a great time
to both learn the systems and see its capabilities (this is one area
where we will be requiring the use of a glass airplane). CFI students
should also use this airplane to learn how to teach in an airplane with
glass because you will likely encounter them latter as a flight
instructor.

It also appears that many of you have not registered for spring aviation
class yet. Please register, the Deans office gets excited when the see
low numbers in courses and starts asking about dropping courses.

Last, remember the pizza party for aviation graduates and everyone else
tomorrow from 11:30-1:00 up by the resource center (HH219).
